On the same day there was the Cundall's auction at Malton, the only Irish item there being a GNRI gauge glasses (2) £8.
On ebay a small GNRI 20x15cm trespass, with the 'I' ground off, is reported as selling for £155.

This could be the same item that sold on 18/4/09 at TRA with a 32pp GSR brochure with the same artwork for £250.

TRA on 27 June had: GSR original coa transfer nicely mounted onto a painted panel and presented in a glazed frame with gilt slip 490x450cm from the London Railway Club/Woolwich Railway Museum Collection £ns, BCDR cast metal Locomotive Numberplate 'BCDR 5'. As carried by a 2-4-2 tank loco built by Beyer Peacock in 1896 (Works No. 3854). New to Traffic July 1896. Became UTA No. 5 in 1948. Withdrawn Nov. 1949 and sold for scrap. No. 5 was a 5'-3" gauge type 8 Class 5 locomotive and was one of only 6 in the class. They were employed on Belfast-Holywood and Belfast-Dundonald suburban services. Nos. 5, 7 and 27 survived to the formation of the UTA but the other class members Nos. 8, 28 and 29 (all built in 1897) were withdrawn in 1925, 1937 and 1923 respectively. Originally the locos had oval brass numberplates but were changed to the style we have here about 1920. This plate although fractured in two is in totally ex-loco condition and a considerable rarity as many BCDR plates were replaced with UTA cast aluminium examples. (F62/7) £32, BCDR cast metal loco. tankside numberplate 'BCDR 7' as carried by a 2-4-2 Tank Loco built by Beyer Peacock in 1896 (Works No. 3853). It became Ulster Transport Authority No. 7 in 1948 and was withdrawn in Nov. 1949 and sold for scrap. Originally the locos had oval brass numberplates but were changed to this style about 1920. This plate despite having a vertical central crack is in lovely ex-loco condition and a great rarity as many BCDR plates were replaced with U.T.A. cast aluminium examples, 383x252mm, the plate from sister loco no. 5 sold in TRA July 2009 auction £620, LMSNCC silver plated grape Scissors by Elkington, top marked 'LMS NCC' in two vertical outlined panels, vgc. £30, Carriage Panel. On 17-22/11 railwayana.net had (but described as LBSCR) an untitled enamel carriage notice 'Please do not spit in the carriages...' with three lines of text explaining the reasons why you should not do so, good used condition with rusting around edges - 41 x 11 cm £150. On this site this would be a BCDR item. A second item was a station wall lamp (lot 286) marked GSWR but actually Glasgow&SWR.

SRA on 5/12 had: BNCR enamel sign: 'BNCR - Notice - Any Person Found Writing on The Walls or in Any Way Injuring The Company's Property Will Be Prosecuted. By Order' in brown lettering on cream and brown border with a couple of small chips and edge rusting. 15 x 10cm, £90, GNRI (but probably BCDR enamel sign: 'Please do not spit in the carriages - It is offensive to Other Passengers and is Stated by The Medical Profession to be a Source of Serious Disease.' Some restored chipping, in good order generally, 37 x 10cm in dark blue lettering and border on white with a light blue edging. Although this item is credited to GNR(I) it could well have come from one of the other Irish Railways, possibly GSR, vgc £110.
